The Offbeat Studio |
"Edinburgh's Royal Mile is world famous for it's history and the Offbeat studio is bang in the centre of it all in the High Street. Located on the top floor of a tenement building it was originally my private studio where I wrote and created my own recordings.
Originally I would meet clients and we would discuss locations for recording venues and I noticed that many people when offered a choice would say "Can we just do it here"? Over 50 albums later, music produced in the High St has been distributed Worldwide and artists have come from all over to record here.
The studio is compatible with other larger studio locations. Sometimes I start a project in the High St and use other studios to add multiple instrument setups and then return to the High St to mix and master. Or vice-versa. I plan to expand the High Street studio upwards in the near future into an attic space with amazing views..watch this space"
