Creative Production Workshops
This 2 day course covers a comprehensive introduction to music production with Logic Audio and Reason. It involves the recording, mixing and mastering of a composition which will be created from scratch during the workshop .
During this the process of recording, mixing and mastering will take place. The type of music will be discussed before the sessions commence.
1 - Using a metronome and setting tempo changes to enable copying and pasting.
2 - Creating and adapting drum, percussion and other instrument loops and creating an arrangement for the music. An introduction to MIDI and using outboard gear.
3 - Creating arpeggios and sequenced keyboard parts using Logic Audio, Native Instruments and Wave plugins
4 - Recording instruments using microphones and Direct injection. The use of equalisation and compression before and after committing to recording.
5 - The use of effects and signal processors. Adding special effects and atmosphere to a production.
6 - Recording vocals using composites and layering backing vocals.
7 - Using automation.
8 - Mixing and balancing sound.
9 - Mastering
